PROGRAMS

Camp MacLean will be involved in the planning of your program as much or little as you wish. Each group is different. We provide several options for programs. You may choose from one area or select a combination of programs for your trip. The length of stay can range from one to five days. A MacLean program director will be assigned to help you plan your trip and select the best programs for your needs.

Environmental Education

We have developed a complete curriculum guide that includes 30 lessons on a variety of topics including habitat studies, pioneer heritage, wetlands and lakes, trees and plants, natural edibles, predator/prey relationships and much more. The camp provides two instructors and also offers teacher training on all of our lessons.

Recreation
Boating Archery Tobagganing
Sports Nature Trail Crafts
Rocketry Climbing Kayaking
Group Dynamics, Team Building, Self-Confidence

Many schools have used our Team Challenge and High Ropes courses to develop group work skills among their students. We recommend that these programs be used primarily in middle school and high school.

This program utilizes a 12-station low team challenge course as well as 16 high challenge elements and climbing tower complex divided into three distinct courses.

Our challenge courses are built and inspected using ACCT standards. We facilitate our courses using models and philosophies from Project Adventure, Inc.

In addition to our team courses, service projects are available for groups looking to build the idea of community and service into their programs.
